Q. Can
I come by myself or do I have to be with a group?
A. We welcome singles as well as groups. If
you come by yourself you will leave with new friends!Q. Are
the bedrooms shared?
A. Yes bedrooms are shared but all get their
own beds. We do have some single bedrooms based on availability.
Q. I
heard there are two buildings, why is this?
A. All of the scrapping is done in our new
workshop as to not disturb our guests who would like to turn in early or
relax in the separate lodge. Our work shop is only 3 steps from the
house. Our new workshop is fully climate controlled.
Q.
What do I get for my weekend fee?
A. You will be able to check
in at 12:00
noon Eastern Time. We also serve delicious home made meals and pastries from Friday dinner through breakfast on Sunday, plus your
lodging. We
also supply bottled / spring water, coffee, diet & regular soda for the weekend
and much more. Check out time has been extended to 1:00 P.M. EST. Extended
Check Out times upon request at no additional charge
Q. Are
spa services additional?
A. Yes spa services are additional to your
weekend fee. See what is available in our information section.
Q. I
am from out of state, and must fly to Scrap & Spa how do I get there
and do you provide transportation?
A. Due to insurance regulations at this time
we cannot provide transportation. We will provide concise travel help and
directions upon request.
Q. How
far are you from Lake Michigan and the beaches?
A. A very short walking distance through our
rear path.
Q. Are
there scheduled events at Scrap & Spa?
A. No, you are free to do as you please. This
weekend is for your relaxation and fun. We wouldn't dare schedule anyone.
You can stay up all night and sleep all day if you like. The only
exception to this is when a special guest comes for the weekend and
classes on new things are sometimes taught. (Such as Rebecca Ludens from
About .com)
Q. Are
there other things to do while I am here?
A. Yes, we have excellent restaurants
available if you do not wish to eat with us. The Lighthouse shopping mall
is located in Michigan City, IN for your shopping pleasure and there are
plenty of excellent small shops, stores and antique shops in the area. We have most
everything you would need in a quiet pleasant environment. The beach is
only a few hundred yards away.
Q. Does
Scrap & Spa have supplies on hand for scrapbooker's?
A. Yes,
we have paper, cutouts, tape, dies and an Accucut die machine. We have too
many supplies to list here. But we still recommend bringing your own tools
and things for your personal touch. Guests are often surprised by the
quality and quantity of supplies we carry. We also have a scrapbook store
located nearby that we have partnered with.
Q. What
is the largest group you can take?
A. We
can book a maximum of 14 but we only advertise
12 to allow for overbooking or extras.
Q. Do
you offer group discount rates?
A.
We
offer a 5% discount for all prepaid and groups of six reservations. If you
pay for your weekend in full at the time you reserve, we will take 5% off
of your weekend fee. See our policies on

Q. What
are the check in and check out times?
A.
The
check in time is 12:00 noon ET on Friday. For the three day weekends check
in is at 12:00 noon on Thursday. Also all spa appointments and
reservations you make are Eastern Time. Check out time is 1:00 PM on the
last day of the event. Extended check out times available upon request.
Q. Where
in Michigan are you located?
A. We
are located in Union Pier, MI just six miles from the Indiana-Michigan
border line in southwestern Michigan. We are easily accessed from I-94 at
Exit 6.
Q.
When is payment due and when do I receive my directions to Scrap & Spa?
A. When we receive your reservation, we
charge your credit card the $50.00 deposit to hold your date unless you
opted for full payment with discount. When you check out the balance is
