Deposits, Payment & Refund Policy

A $50.00 non refundable deposit and a valid credit card number is required to hold / guarantee your weekend date. In the event you can not make your date we will credit your account $25.00 for any other available weekend up to one year away, if you cancel more than 3 weeks before the event. If you cancel less than 3 weeks before the event, the deposit is forfeited. If you cancel within 72 hours of your weekend or do not show up (No Show, No Call) on your reserved night, your credit card will be billed for the full amount of your weekend less any deposits received. Refunds are given only when Scrap & Spa cancels a date for unforeseen reasons and no other arrangements can be made. Your credit card must remain valid through your reservation date to guarantee payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover. We will gladly accept your check as long as a valid credit card is on file with us. See our NSF / Returned Check policy below.

Returned Check / NSF Fees

Should you pay with a check when you check out and it is not honored by your bank for any reason, we will asses a $40 NSF / Returned check fee against your credit card and charge your credit card any amounts owed to us the day the check or payment is returned.

Check In & Check Out Times

Check In is at 12:00 PM Eastern time on the scheduled start day. Check Out is at 1:00 PM Eastern Time Sunday or at
the events end. Extended Check Out upon request.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are good for 18 months from date of issue and are non refundable.

Group Policy

We no longer offer a group discount plan, but have put a customer loyalty program in its place so more can share in the benefits. Please inquire about it.

Fully Prepaid Weekends (Excluding Gift Certificates)

For people who fully prepay for their weekend at signup and authorize us to do so will be able to transfer to any other available weekend. There will be a $100.00 cancellation fee for refunds on prepays. The reason for this is because we schedule far in advance with our vendors to take advantage of discount pricing to pass along to you. If you must cancel please call us as soon as possible so we can schedule or hold another weekend for you or work out other arrangements.

Bad Weather Transfers (Heavy Snow)

We will attempt to notify our guests in advance if we were to close because of bad weather. We will be open unless otherwise stated by us. During the winter months we will post on our home page if we will be closed due to bad weather. This is also a good source of information for guests when we cannot locate or contact them in advance of closure. Transfers or refunds of deposits will be handled on a person by person basis. Every effort will be made to satisfy our customers.

Merchandise Purchased On Our Site

If you feel your item is not to your satisfaction we will replace it or refund your money which ever you prefer. There will be a 10 day limit on returns and refunds. We do not refund shipping charges.

Transfer Of Deposits To Other People

You may transfer your deposit to one of your friends if you must cancel. To do this, have your friend pay you for the deposit and have her sign up on our site and noting that she is replacing you as a guest and we will honor it.


Your balance is due when you check out. All supplies and lodging will be charged on one bill. We have changed our policy to paid by check, money order or cash upon check out. This is effective July 1, 2012. We are trying to keep costs down. Credit card processing fees keep escalating almost every six months and we would prefer not pass these costs along to you. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Visa or MasterCard branded Debit Cards.

Spa Policies

Pedicures are done on the premises. All massages are done in private rooms. All appointments for in house spa services must be selected no later than five days prior to your weekend. The nail techs and the massage therapists only accept cash and checks at time of service. Schedules for services will be determined by therapists and guests will be advised of approximate times on Saturday morning. There will be a $10 cancellation fee for services cancelled at the retreat. All therapists are licensed.

Pregnant Women and Persons With Recent Surgery

Pregnancy massage is not available for women in the first trimester of pregnancy. A 15 or 30 minute chair massage will be administered to pregnant clients in their 2nd or 3rd trimester that have permission from their physician. Clients recovering from surgery occurring less than six months previous to their weekend will be unable to receive massage. Body polishes and table massages are not available to any pregnant women. We suggest reflexology or head & neck massage.

All Times Are Eastern Time, This includes any appointments you make with us. Scrap & Spa accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. The in- house masseuse and nail techs only accepts checks or cash. They do not accept credit cards
